Be The House

When you make the rules, you can stack the odds

We all have dreams and goals of what our future looks like. Why do some people succeed while others struggle longer or always fail? The answer usually depends on several factors, like mindset, perseverance, available resources, and the ability to adapt to new situations. Successful individuals tend to exhibit a growth mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities to learn and grow rather than insurmountable obstacles. They are persistent in their efforts, willing to put in the hard work and time required to achieve their goals. Additionally, having access to resources such as education, mentorship, and financial support can significantly impact one's ability to succeed. Adaptability is important. People who can adjust their strategies when faced with setbacks are more likely to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

My name is David Acevedo, and welcome to my publication. My family last name usually ended up with a nickname of Ace. Not creative, but short and easy to remember. This blog aims to share both successes and failures, providing inspiration, honesty, ideas, plans, and motivation for those in need of new opportunity. An opportunity to move forward and improve your position in life.

If you want more, you need to take control of your life, your mind, and your actions. Understanding the rules and risks of a game is like knowing how a casino works. It's important to be aware of what you can and can't control. For the record, I don't gamble or almost never make bets at casinos.

Having a clear life vision and setting smaller goals can significantly impact your life. By breaking down your vision into manageable 12-week cycles, you can create clearer plans to achieve these goals. Most people have huge goals and that's awesome. But they are so big and so long, that people usually never even start. They talk and talk for years, and do nothing. At some point, they give up on their goals and fall into the background of the world by distracting themselves on stupid things. They keep really busy, but never make the life that they wanted for themselves or for their family. They fail to live up to their full potential. Not having the courage to take action on your dreams and life goals is not good. It will wear on your soul adversely. Let's create more opportunities for people to engage in meaningful activities and encourage them to move away from their couch and phone. Life is not a spectator sport.
